Get involved
Your ideas. Our next project.
You don’t need to know how to code. Curiosity is enough to get started.
Find your starting point
Bring a question from daily life, explore a project or join an open meetup. We can find a manageable task together. There is no need to make a long-term commitment.
Many skills, one shared purpose
- Maps and geodata: GIS, geoinformatics and OpenStreetMap.
- Data and infrastructure: PostgreSQL, PostGIS, backend and data analysis.
- Usable applications: frontend, UX and design.
- Understandable projects: documentation, testing and communication.
- Collaboration: project management, research and organisation.
From a first contribution to collaboration
Choose a project, read its repository guidance and discuss your idea with us. Small pull requests with clear descriptions make code easier to review. Usability feedback, corrected data and clear writing help too.
Our Code of Conduct describes respectful participation.
